About Desmoto Sport
Founded in May 2000, Desmoto Sport was created with a clear mission: to offer an independent motorcycle service center that specializes in Ducati, Triumph, and BMW brands. Over the past 25 years, we've earned our reputation as the leading independent Ducati workshop in San Francisco and in the US generally. Our dedication to high-performance service and race development has allowed us to expand our expertise to a variety of brands, including Ducati, Triumph, MV Agusta, BMW, KTM, and Aprilia.
As an authorized Ohlins service center, we pride ourselves on offering top-tier suspension services. At Desmoto Sport, we provide a knowledgeable, performance-driven alternative to the main dealer networks, especially as they’ve begun to limit services for older bikes. We're now proudly serving an ever-growing customer base, offering everything from routine maintenance to custom performance upgrades.
We offer four specialized departments to cater to all your needs:
Service & Maintenance: From scheduled maintenance to tire replacements and damage estimates, we keep your bike running smoothly and safely. We’re committed to keeping all parts catalogs, workshop manuals, and diagnostic equipment up to date to provide you with the best possible service.
Performance: Our performance department offers everything from complete race prep to track-day enhancements, including engine, suspension, and brake upgrades.
Vintage: Our vintage department has become a go-to destination for classic Ducati, BMW, and Triumph models, with a dedicated technician specializing in these iconic bikes.
Parts: We provide a full range of OEM and high-performance parts and accessories for upgrades and repairs, including suspension and engine components.

Meet the Crew
Scott
Owner, Chief Technician
With early training in the Jaguar industry, over 25 years as a motorcycle service specialist and many years running race teams, Scott has decades of mechanical knowledge that is the support for the technical crew at Desmoto-Sport.
Darren
Parts Manager
Working in the motorcycle industry since the 1980's and riding even longer, Darren's unfathomable knowledge of the parts side of the business has kept the parts department fully stocked and the service department work flowing for the past 20 years.
Jared
Technician
Jared has worked on bikes professionally since 1998. After meeting Scott at a race weekend at Sonoma Raceway, they started working together at the Marin Ducati dealer. Soon after Desmoto-Sport opened, Jared joined the team and 2 decades later, they are still a mighty duo in the service department.
David
Technician
David has had a passion for mechanisms from a young age. Since the age of 16, he has ridden and worked on bikes. After a few engineering jobs, he decided to pursue his passion. He joined the team in March '16.
Eric
Assisting Technician / Storyteller
Eric has a passion for carbeuretted motorcycles and elegant technologies. While studying philosophy he determined the importance of identifying and protecting high quality technology from economic obsolescence. He joined the team in September of 2020.
Rose
Office Manager
Well, what is there to say, without her, there would not be a Desmoto Sport... She pulls all of the loose ends somehow together and is the behind-the-scenes hero that keeps the place running and moving in the right direction.
